How to build a Trivia quiz to challenge your users

Trivia quizzes are a great way to challenge and educate your users :)

You can take a look below the hood of a Trivia quiz with this template.

First, decide whether you want your quiz to be in list or slideshow view.

In a list view, the questions are arranged vertically on a single page. After they’ve guessed, your users can see a “reveal” and find out more about the answer.

Slideshow view slides through the questions horizontally, so there’s no “reveal” tab.

Write your questions - you can either have a single question Trivia experience within longer content, or write as many questions as you like. Most quizzes are between 10-15 questions long, but we've seen people write up to 100 questions!

Top Tip! If you write a long trivia quiz, make sure that is made explicit in the title or introduction to the quiz. If your user knows the quiz they are taking has 50 questions when they begin interacting, they're less likely to drop off half-way through.

Use a combination of text and image-based answers to keep it interesting.

Don’t forget to indicate which answer is correct!

You can even add end cards to congratulate your user on their performance - or commiserate on their bad score!
